The School

Coorabell Public School is a small three- teacher school, which has a strong sense of community, encompassing a dedicated, professional staff, a committed parent body and wonderful students.

Structure and Organisation

Our school works in a module system, ensuring each student is well- known by all teachers and their needs catered for. All teachers specialise in a particular key learning area and students have three different teachers in one day. This allows students of varying levels of ability to achieve their optimum potential; through specialisation of programs and staffs thorough knowledge of all students.

Modules

Coorabell School has three modules:-

  • Early Stage 1/ Stage 1 (S1)- Kindergarten and Year 1
  • Later Stage 1/ Stage 2 (S2)- Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4
  • Stage 3 (S3)- Years 5 and 6

Each class has a Home Teacher. The class begins the day with this teacher for pastoral care, social skills and communication issues. This teacher is often the student’s first point of call. All students relate well to all teachers.
